DYI Volunteers join Habitat for Humanity
April 2016:
Bright and early on Saturday, April 23rd, volunteers from DYI came out to lend a hand for families through Habitat for Humanity Broward. The volunteers worked alongside future Habitat Homeowners laying down sod, planting new trees, and mulching planter beds. It was back-breaking but extremely rewarding work, applying the finishing touches to a deserving family’s new home.
Fairfield at Flagler Breaks Ground
March 2016:
Site work and foundation of this 6-story, 292-unit apartment project in downtown Fort Lauderdale has started. The project is expected to be completed in 24 months.
Broadstone at Brickell Tops out
February 2016:
The 372-unit community at 255 Southwest 11th Street in the Brickell neighborhood of Miami has been topped out. This high-rise soars 24 stories (253 feet) over the booming downtown and financial district. Once complete, the community will offer a mix of studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments and townhomes and a seven-story parking garage with pool/amenity space on the roof. As a Broadstone-branded property, a mix of high-end finishes and amenities are on the way, from upgraded fixtures, stainless-steel appliances and hard-surface counters to climate-controlled interior corridors, parcel lockers, a state-of-the-art fitness center with a yoga and outdoor boxing studio, pet grooming spa, bike center and luxurious common areas for entertaining.
DYI Celebrates New Year with Beaux Arts Ball
January 2016:
DYI celebrated the new year with a dinner party at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Modeled after the Beaux Arts Ball that originated at the Ecole des Quatres Arts School of Design in Paris, guests were encouraged to dress in costume representing their favorite artist, building, or work of art.
St. Pete II Breaks Ground
January 2016:
Foundation work has begun on this 9-story, 366-unit apartment building in downtown St. Petersburg. The building will wrap around an internal parking garage that will provide parking for residents as well as 200 for Tampa Bay Times employees across the street. Occupancy is expected in September 2017.
Fort Lauderdale to consider plan for 35-story tower near downtown
January 2016:
DYI has submitted plans on behalf of a Developer for a 35-story multi-family tower in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The project includes 408 residential units and 6,000 SF of ground floor retail space. The eight-story parking garage will be topped with an amenity deck featuring a pool, lounge, yoga room, and fitness center.

Bruckner Commons Redevelopment – Construction Starts

In the heart of The Bronx, this renovation property in progress consists of a two-story 108,000 sf mixed-use building with 40,000 sf of office above 68,000 sf retail, a 20,000 sf grocery anchor and a 4,000 sf out-parcel retail building situated at the intersection of White Plains Road and Bruckner Expressway.
