Iani Cheistwer

Iani is a senior designer with Dorsky + Yue International who brings over 20 years of experience in the architectural field and 11 years to the company. Iani interacts with clients, and leads project teams through the design process from concept & schematic design, through detailing & construction documents. Iani's work includes a wide variety of design projects, including commercial, retail, hospitality and mixed-use planning.

Prior to working at Dorsky + Yue International, Iani ran his own design consulting firm and worked for several architectural design firms as a project manager and designer.

The Shops at Nanuet – Clarkstown, New York
Sitting on 61 acres of land, The Shops at Nanuet is an open-air Main Street re-development consisting of approximately 400,000 sf of new construction, including a new cinema, fitness center, market and two existing anchor’s, Macy’s and Sears.

Palm Beach Outlets – West Palm Beach, Florida
The redevelopment of a dated enclosed mall into an open air 560,000 SF fashion outlet shopping mall.

Florida Mall – Orlando, Florida
With 1,709,000 sf, Florida Mall stands as one of the largest single-story malls in the United States.  The expansion and repositioning added approximately 140,000 sf of additional retail and restaurants accompanied by a new ceremonial porte cochere and entry plaza complete with a water feature and stage area.

Legacy Village  – Cleveland, Ohio
Northeast Ohio’s first lifestyle center expresses the unique synergy found in mixed-use environments by creating a distinct ambiance for shopping, dining, entertaining, and working. Developed by First Interstate Properties, the 613,000 sf upscale lifestyle center is built around a framework of city blocks – all in a multi-level Main Street configuration with landscape plazas, mini parks, and other streetscape amenties.

St. John’s TC Phase II – Jacksonville, Florida
Drawing architectural inspiration from the historic shopping district of Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Florida, this development includes a five-story hotel above department stores, specialty retail, and office space. An expansion to an existing lifestyle/power center, the high-end development includes 250,000 sf of new commercial space.

Cypress Creek Town Center – Tampa, Florida
Cypress Creek Town Center is a 932,000 sf open-air regional retail development for The Jacobs Group. The diverse retail complex is composed of both a power center segment and a lifestyle center with department stores, specialty stores, entertainment venues and restaurants, featuring landscape/waterscape plazas.

Saddle Creek – Memphis, Tennessee
Poag & McEwen’s 1,000,000 sf mixed-use, high density development features 350,000 sf of retail, restaurants, 150,000 sf of offices above retail, a 120-key hotel, 240 units of residential above retail, structured parking and inter-connecting water features with integrated plazas.

University Town Center – Sarasota, Florida
Benderson Develoment’s University Town Center, occupying a 38-acre site, consists of a large power center housing nine major tenants that compliment a recently constructed Super Target. A series of small shops facing University Parkway establishes the overall character of the development and the new identity of the southern half of University Parkway.

The Terrace at Town Center – Boca Raton, Florida
Considered one of the major shopping venues in South Florida for Simon Property Group, this 1.5 million sf super-regional mall is being expanded to include a new 150,000 sf two-story, open-air addition. The proposed design includes retail, restaurants, a community plaza, covered drop-off area, and two-level bridge connectors to existing and new parking structures.
